Is it still worth playing?

A third person tactical shooter from Zipper Interactive, released in 2002 as the first of the SOCOM series for the PlayStation 2, named after the United States Special Operations Command. It follows teams of Navy SEALs as they complete missions, sometimes helped by special operations forces from around the world such as the SAS, SBS and GROM. It was one of the earliest titles to use the PlayStation 2's online service in North America. The series later added the portable Fireteam Bravo games, a story mode playable online in Combined Assault, and the strategic Tactical Strike, and it ended with SOCOM 4 on the PlayStation 3 in 2011. A headset came with the game for voice commands to teammates, and online play supported 16 players, eight per team, over broadband. Leading a team on missions that depend on teamwork makes each one a small operation.
