Jake Logan, a mercenary fighter pilot voiced by Bruce Campbell, is framed for a terrorist bombing and exiled to the Fringe, in this 2000 space combat simulation by NovaLogic. It is set in the 26th century, where megacorporations, pirate clans and colonist groups clash far from the Star Patrol that keeps the peace near the Sol system. You choose where to go and which missions to fly in a large, inhabited universe, with large ships and stations. The story has several sides, and your decisions change your future. Team tactics and base wars are available online. Randy Casey, who had written two of the studio's flight simulators, developed it. Decisions that change the story still give the missions more weight than a plain run of dogfights.
