A wizard, a knight and a thief are drawn to a glowing treasure deep in a dark dungeon and find it is the Trine, an artifact that binds them into one. It is a 2014 remake of the 2009 Trine for Windows, on Linux, the Mac and the PlayStation 4 that December, the Wii U in 2015 and the Switch in 2018. It is the first game moved onto the engine of Trine 2, with the graphics that engine allows and online play, which the original never had. Underneath it is the 2009 game, switched between the three heroes at will through a medieval fantasy of physics puzzles that grow harder, with friends taking a hero each. The online play still brings the first Trine's puzzles to the second's engine, with a friend on another continent.
