Is it still worth playing?

In a world wrecked by a meteor shower, the Rubinelle 12th Battalion helps survivors and restores order while nations go back to war, in this 2008 turn based strategy game for the Nintendo DS. Two to four forces, each led by a commanding officer, take turns building and moving units on grid maps, and you win by destroying every enemy unit or capturing the headquarters. The units are ground, sea and air, and some can capture buildings. Fog of war hides enemies beyond the sight of your units, and weather changes the fighting. Commanding officer powers are weaker than before and arrive much later in the campaign. The campaign introduces the rules one at a time, and a map editor is included. The look is grittier than in earlier games. A campaign that teaches the rules one at a time is still an approachable way into a strategy game with a large set of units.
