A graphic adventure developed and published by Wadjet Eye Games in 2007, the sequel to The Blackwell Legacy and a prequel to it, set in the 1970s in New York. You follow Rosa's aunt Lauren Blackwell, a sarcastic medium, and her ghost guide Joey, investigating two ghosts: a murdered saxophone player and a murdered woman haunting the building site of her old apartment. Because it is the 1970s, you look things up in phone books and newspapers, and lookup puzzles need typed answers instead of preset options. You can switch between Lauren and Joey, which was new to the series and became a staple. The background art by Erin Robinson looks like paintings by Edward Hopper, and the score by Thomas Regin leans on saxophone and film noir jazz. Two ghost stories in a quiet city still make a pair of cases that are easy to follow.
