Is it still worth playing?

You are an apprentice Shaper, a wizard who can create life, and your creations begin to rebel, in this role-playing game by Jeff Vogel. The world resembles medieval times with a few modern innovations, and graphics and sound are limited because they are not the focus. The game is highly non linear, with rival factions you can join and several different endings. You can use magic or creatures of your own making to crush your enemies, or win with trickery, diplomacy and stealth without ever attacking a foe. You can fight alone or build an army of custom made mutant creatures. There are over eighty zones to explore and more than fifty hours of play. A world with no single right side leaves the choices to you.
