Is it still worth playing?

A multidirectional shooter from Bizarre Creations, released in 2008 on Xbox Live Arcade as the sequel to Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. You control a claw shaped ship that can move and fire independently in any direction, and you score points by destroying a variety of enemy shapes that spawn around the playing field. Touching any enemy costs a life, and bombs destroy all enemies but award no points. The score multiplier, which rises as you collect small green geoms dropped by enemies, is crucial to effective play, and it can reach into the thousands. There are six modes: Deadline, a three minute run with unlimited lives; King, with one life, no bombs and shrinking safety zones; Evolved, similar to the first game; Pacifism, where you cannot shoot; and others. Local multiplayer for up to four players is versus or co-op. A multiplier that grows with every geom makes each run a gamble.
