Is it still worth playing?
Kirby, in his first game, sets out across Dream Land to take back its food and Sparkling Stars from King Dedede, in this 1992 platformer for the Game Boy. He inhales enemies and objects and then swallows them or spits them out as star shaped shots. He can fly for as long as he likes by inflating himself, though his only attack while flying is an air puff that ends the flight. There are five levels, made of large rooms joined by doors, and a door also marks the checkpoint you return to after a defeat. Kirby has six health points. It was made to be easy to pick up for players unfamiliar with action games, with a harder mode for the rest and a menu for editing his maximum health and lives. The game can be finished in under an hour. Simple controls and a short game still leave little to learn.
