Is it still worth playing?

Two teams of five battle in the main mode, Summoner's Rift, in this multiplayer online battle arena game from Riot Games, released in 2009. It was inspired by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III. Each player controls a champion with unique abilities and a style of play, seen from an isometric view. During a match, champions gain levels with experience points, earn gold and buy items to defeat the other team. Teams defend their base and win by destroying a large structure, the Nexus. It has been free to play from the start, and it is monetized through purchasable character customization. An all random, all middle, one lane map lets new players try new champions while they learn. It has an annual World Championship. Ten players and a Nexus still make each match a team's to win.
