Is it still worth playing?
Walter Ryan or Tyra Elson, recruits at a survival training camp, fight the invading troops of General Morden in this 2004 run and gun game for the Game Boy Advance. It plays like the other Metal Slug games, with two new systems. A life bar replaces extra lives, and food restores health, though being crushed or falling in a pit still kills at once. There are five missions, and continue points are generous. The second system is cards: 100 of them are found by shooting certain parts of the background or from hostages. They give information on the series, boost your abilities or unlock special slugs, and to keep a card you have to beat the stage without dying. The graphics and sound are close to the arcade games. A life bar and a hundred cards to collect still give each mission a reason to be replayed.
