Is it still worth playing?

A 2021 action RPG for the Nintendo Switch, in which hunters from Kamura Village take on huge monsters, slay or capture them, and turn their parts into new weapons and armor. The 14 weapon types each fight differently, with combos of their own and Switch Skills that change their moves. The maps are open and climb high, and a Wirebug lets you grapple up walls, swing across gaps and dodge in the middle of a fight. With it you can also ride some monsters, slamming them into walls or into other monsters. A Palamute, a dog you can ride, crosses the map without using stamina and fights beside you, along with a cat called a Palico. Rampage quests send monsters at you in waves, held off with ballistas you can upgrade into cannons. Up to four hunters can hunt together. The loop is why it is worth playing now: every monster is a fight of its own, and its parts make the gear for the next one.
