Is it still worth playing?

A 2017 turn based simulation built on how genes pass from parents to young, in which a pack of animals called Nichelings tries to survive and grow on a string of islands. Each day every animal gets a few actions. More than 100 genes decide what a creature is like, from its body to its immunity to disease and its fertility, and you pair animals to pass on the traits that suit the land. Animals die of illness, injury and old age, and the four biomes each have their own predators, plants and prey. Story mode begins after a large bird carries a young Nicheling off to a strange island, and sandbox mode lets you choose the animals and the terrain. The genetics still make it worth playing: you plan each pairing to breed a tribe that fits its island.
