About this game
Game Freak's 2009 DS remake of Silver, and a Pokémon game with two regions in it: you win your badges across Johto and then find the whole of Kanto still there behind it. Your lead Pokémon walks out of its ball and follows you around. Every copy came with a Pokéwalker, a pedometer that takes one of your Pokémon over infrared and turns your own steps into watts, spent inside the device on items and on wild Pokémon to bring home. An item called GB Sounds puts the original chiptune music back. SoulSilver is the version with Lugia on the box and HeartGold the one with Ho-Oh, and that is most of the difference between them. Two regions is still a lot of game, and the Pokémon at your heel is why the map feels like somewhere you live rather than somewhere you cross.
