Is it still worth playing?
Sonic and a new character, Blaze the Cat, race through two screen platform levels, in this 2005 Nintendo DS game from Sonic Team and Dimps. The side scrolling action spans the top and bottom screens, with 3D character models and boss arenas set against lush 2D backgrounds. Instead of building speed, you press a button to boost forward with the Rush meter. Blaze can double jump and float at any time. Each zone has two acts and a 3D boss, and the seven zones are the same for both characters but reached in a different order. In special stages the touch screen moves Sonic around obstacles while he collects rings. Finishing the game with both characters unlocks time attack and a bonus level. It has a techno soundtrack. A boost button in place of built up speed still changes how a level is played.
