Is it still worth playing?
In this 2002 platformer for the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox, a young Tasmanian tiger called Ty tries to free his family from the Dreaming, where Boss Cass, a cassowary, trapped them. To free them he needs five talismans, located by a machine that runs on Thunder Eggs. Rainbow Cliffs is divided into zones that act as hubs, each with three portals to levels. Inside you earn eggs by finishing tasks, beating a Time Attack, freeing five bilbies or simply finding them. With at least 17 from a zone, the machine locates a talisman, which you win by beating a boss. Ty fights by biting and throwing boomerangs. Julius, a koala scientist, makes him new ones from the Golden Cogs you collect, plus an elemental one after each boss that opens the next zone. Its hubs, its eggs to hunt and its growing set of boomerangs still make it a laid back collecting platformer worth playing now.
