Is it still worth playing?

Private Preston Marlowe and his squad try to steal gold from mercenaries in a war, in this 2008 first person shooter from DICE. The war is between the United States and Russia. It was the first Battlefield game developed for consoles and the first with a full single player campaign. The game emphasizes squad based combat and keeps the vehicles and large scale multiplayer warfare of earlier games. It marked the debut of DICE's Frostbite engine, which allows highly destructible environments: about 90 percent of the environment can be destroyed, including buildings, trees and the ground, though bullets cannot pass through most walls. Each map takes about an hour and splits into several missions, and multiplayer is one mode, Gold Rush, for up to 24 players. Walls that blow open still turn every firefight into a rearrangement of the map.
