John Morris and his friend Eric Lecarde cross Europe to stop the vampire Elizabeth Bartley from raising her uncle Dracula, in this 1994 platform game for the Sega Genesis. John fights with the whip and can swing from ceilings with it, while Eric uses a spear and can pole vault. Their paths differ slightly in a stage or two. Special weapons are the axe, boomerang and holy water, and each character has a special attack once powered up. There are six stages, each with a sub boss halfway and a main boss at the end, with landmarks such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Palace of Versailles. A difficulty select changes the ending you get. Michiru Yamane composed her first Castlevania soundtrack here. Two heroes with different ways of moving still give each stage two ways to be played.
