Is it still worth playing?
An action adventure game developed by Appaloosa Interactive and published by Sega for the Dreamcast, with a PlayStation 2 version in 2002, the fifth Ecco game and a reboot of the series. It plays much like the older games but in three dimensions. Ecco's sonar remains the way to interact with other cetaceans and some objects in the water, and you can bring up a sonar map. The stick changes only the direction he faces, and to move you tap a button to gain speed and hold it to keep it. Out of the water he does flips in the air, charging at enemies is still his main attack, now with a homing feature, and the health and air meters stay, with health raised by collecting Vitalits. New moves were added for the 3D world. A sequel was cancelled when the Dreamcast ended. A dolphin in a 3D sea still gives swimming a new freedom.
