About this game

Retro Studios' 2002 GameCube game, which moved Metroid into first person without turning it into a shooter. Nintendo called it a first person adventure and meant it. You lock on and strafe around things rather than aim at them, you still roll through pipes as a ball, and the map is the same business of doors you cannot open yet. The scan visor is the rest of it. Point it at a machine, a plant or a corpse and you get a paragraph about it, none of which you need to finish the game and most of which is where the story actually is.
