Is it still worth playing?

Lightning, a former soldier, fights the government of the floating world of Cocoon to save her sister, in this 2009 role-playing game from Square Enix, the thirteenth mainline Final Fantasy. The government, the Sanctum, is purging civilians who have supposedly come into contact with Pulse, the world below, and her sister has been branded the servant of a god like being from it. The game has fast paced combat, a Crystarium system that decides which abilities the characters develop, and a customizable Paradigm system that controls which abilities they use. Only the leader attacks directly while two allies are controlled by the computer, spells have no magic points, and new powers arrive at plot landmarks. Cocoon holds most of the story, and Pulse is a large open landscape that appears late. Switching roles mid fight still makes the Paradigm system the game's own.
