Mega Man Volnutt, a Digger, searches island ruins for four keys to the Mother Lode, a legendary treasure, in this 2000 action adventure for the PlayStation. Roll, his Spotter, upgrades his equipment, and the air pirate Glyde and his Birdbots race him for the keys. You sail between islands on Roll's ship, and each of the main ruins matches its island's theme, such as a jungle cavern or a sunken temple. Lock on lets you move and strafe while aiming, and the analog sticks give twin stick control. Special weapons such as the Crusher and Shining Laser are upgraded with zenny, and the upgrades cost much more than in the first game. Your Digger license class sets the difficulty. Ruins themed to each island and a lock on that lets you move while aiming still keep the exploring varied.
