About this game
Irrational Games' 2007 shooter, set in Rapture, an underwater city built in the 1940s and reached in 1960, a long way after it went wrong. Your left hand holds plasmids, powers bought with a substance called ADAM and fired at the cost of another called EVE, so a fight is a gun in one hand and lightning or fire in the other. ADAM comes from the Little Sisters, girls who collect it from the dead under the guard of a Big Daddy in a diving suit. Each time you meet one you decide whether to take all of it or let her go with less for you. Machines are hacked through a pipe puzzle against a clock. Everything in it has a price. Letting a Little Sister go costs you the plasmid it would have bought, and you find that out in the next fight.
