About this game

Konami's 1998 PlayStation game, in which Snake goes into a nuclear facility in Alaska alone and is expected not to be seen. Walk into a guard's cone of vision and the alarm turns the game into something you have to survive rather than play, so you spend it reading the radar, which shows where everyone is looking. The Codec is the other side of it, a radio you call when you want advice and that the game uses to talk to you for a long time. It is also a game that notices your hardware. One of the bosses, a telepath called Psycho Mantis, reads the save files on your memory card, tells you what else you have been playing, and makes your controller move across the floor. Beating him means working out something the game never tells you. The stealth holds up because being seen means you have failed rather than that a fight has started.
