Is it still worth playing?

A 2003 street racing game from Rockstar San Diego, the first of the series with motorcycles, with races through the cities of Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo. Races are a series of checkpoints shown as columns of light. In most races a glowing arrow points to the next one, while in a few you clear them in any order and choose your own route. There are no artificial barriers in the open world, so any area you can drive or jump over may be used to reach the next checkpoint, including escalators, roofs, railways and riverbeds. Cars have a damage model: damage does not affect performance, but past the limit the car explodes or stalls. Falling into deep water totals the car and loses the race. Career mode unlocks new vehicles, tricks, cities and music tracks. A city to cut through however you like still gives each race many routes.
