You play a newcomer from the East Coast who starts in a beaten up car, and winning races builds a reputation that unlocks more races and earns the money for more cars. It is a 2008 street racing game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP, the fourth Midnight Club. It is set in an open world Los Angeles the size of the three cities from Midnight Club 3 combined, with a day and night cycle, weather and traffic. There are ten race types, including series races, tournaments, pink slip races and freeway races, and 43 cars and 3 motorcycles to drive in them. Special abilities such as Zone slow time and give a short boost to handling. It is still a racer that never makes you wait today: the city is one map, with no load times between races and garage visits.
