Is it still worth playing?
Simon Belmont climbs through Dracula's castle in Transylvania in 1691, across eleven levels, in this 1991 platformer for the Super Nintendo. His whip attacks in eight directions with the control pad. Holding the attack button lets it hang limp so it can be waved around to block projectiles, and it latches onto rings to swing across gaps. Hearts dropped by candles and enemies power secondary weapons such as the axe, the watch and the dagger, and the Double and Triple Shot items let him throw them several times in a row. The levels include a swamp, spinning tunnels and a library, and Mode 7 is used for a rotating tunnel. Food and the Magic Crystal from each boss restore health, and a password lets you continue. A whip you can aim in eight directions and swing from rings still gives you plenty to do in each room.
