Is it still worth playing?
Lara Croft searches for the mythical sword Excalibur and races her former friend Amanda Evert across the world, in this 2006 action adventure from Crystal Dynamics, a reimagining of the series. After The Angel of Darkness, Eidos moved development to Crystal Dynamics, who redesigned both the gameplay and Lara herself, with Lara's creator Toby Gard deeply involved. You play through eight levels in seven locations, jumping, climbing, shimmying, swinging on ropes and using a grappling line to swing across gaps and pull objects, and swimming for a limited time. Some levels have Lara race on a motorbike while fighting enemies. Lara gets a magnetic grapple, binoculars and grenades, and glowing objects mark where the puzzles are. A grapple that swings and pulls still turns each gap into a puzzle.
