Is it still worth playing?
A puzzle game from the artist Patrick Smith, under the name Vectorpark, released in 2009 for Windows, OS X, Linux, web browsers and iOS, and later for the Nintendo Switch. You move through eleven rooms by interacting with everything on the screen to find a hidden cube that unlocks the door, through which you guide a toy car. The objects react in surprising ways: light switches, piles of leaves, clocks, a building that grows legs when spun, a box that grows hair when touched, and a smokestack you can squeeze to make clouds. The puzzles reward exploring more than logic, and only one or two, including a Rube Goldberg machine, need careful thought. The painterly art is calm and sometimes surreal, and the game has influenced Alto's Adventure, Monument Valley and Donut County. A short, quiet toy of a game is still easy to finish in one sitting.
