Is it still worth playing?

Jason and his vehicle Sophia explore side scrolling areas and overhead dungeons, in this 2000 run and gun game for the Game Boy Color. The areas look like those of the first Blaster Master, with new layouts. You start in the vehicle, which has a cannon and can jump, and sometimes have to get out and go on foot, where you are more vulnerable and your firepower is weaker. The dungeons are overhead, and Jason moves in four directions only. A key hidden in one of the dungeons is needed to fight each area's boss. You collect upgrades for both Jason and Sophia, and sometimes a new level's entrance can only be reached after a vehicle upgrade. The open world has to be explored to find the bosses. The challenge is high even early on. Upgrades that open new entrances and a key hidden in each area still give the exploring a purpose.
