Is it still worth playing?
Psy-Crow has kidnapped Princess What's-Her-Name, and Earthworm Jim sets out through extremely weird environments to save her, in this 1995 run and gun game for the Genesis. Fewer than half the levels are straight platforming. The opening level and Level Ate play much like the first game, with more guns, such as one that takes out every enemy on screen, and a friend named Snott who can be swung from or used as a parachute. Other levels change the rules. In one, Jim is a blind cave salamander flying through intestines, followed by a game show of nonsense questions. In another his head is inflated and he floats upward, and in another he guides a balloon with a bomb through an isometric shooter. Puppy Love, where he bounces pups with a marshmallow trampoline, comes back three times, harder each time. Most levels change the rules, so there is still something new to work out in each.
