Is it still worth playing?

Devan Shell steals a giant ring to power a time machine and conquer the universe, and Jazz or Spaz sets out after him, in this 1998 platformer for Windows. Jazz glides by pressing jump repeatedly and Spaz has a double jump, and both use the same levels and weapons. Running has its own button, you can aim upward, and stomping crushes enemies below. The standard gun never runs out, and other ammo types add weapons such as a flamethrower, a freeze ray and explosives, nine weapons in all. Collecting enough food starts a sugar rush that makes you invincible for a short time. The campaign has four episodes of 24 levels in total. Multiplayer, over a LAN or the internet or split screen, has deathmatch, racing and capture the flag modes, and a level editor is included. Running, shooting and stomping through four episodes still make a plain side scroller to pick up.
