Is it still worth playing?
Each of the 48 stages of this 2006 rhythm game for the Game Boy Advance has its own kind of rhythm, and most are played with just the A button. They come in eight sets of six, and the sixth stage of each set is a remix of the earlier ones. A stage lasts about a minute, and the game relies on audio cues more than visual ones, with no floating buttons or falling gems to follow. Good timing earns small visual rewards, and mistakes bring a goofy reaction. Each stage ends with one of three ranks, and mastering a song earns a medal that unlocks minigames and extras. All of the music is original. The WarioWare team designed it, and it was released only in Japan. Short stages that each ask for one clear rhythm are easy to start today.
