Is it still worth playing?
Six modes, each themed on a Nintendo series, make up this 2006 version of Tetris for the Nintendo DS. Standard is the familiar falling block game with Super Mario Bros. in the background, and it speeds up every ten lines cleared, with the option to keep spinning a piece so it does not lock. In Touch you drag pieces with the stylus and take as long as you like. In Catch, themed on Metroid, you steer a flying block to catch falling pieces and form a four by four square. Puzzle has more than 50 puzzles to solve with the pieces you are given. In Mission, themed on Zelda, goals appear on the top screen. Push is a two player mode where clearing two lines at a time pushes the opponent toward the red zone. Local play supports up to ten players, and online play ended with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Six different ways to play Tetris give the block game plenty of variety now.
