Is it still worth playing?

A 3D fighting game from Sega AM2 released in 2001, the fourth Virtua Fighter, that became much more streamlined and user friendly than its predecessors. The evade button was removed, and you dodge by double tapping up or down, while walking became full 8 way movement. A new type of move, the Sabaki, is an attack that doubles as a reversal. The new characters Vanessa Lewis and Lei-Fei use these properties the most. Vanessa has two move sets, Vale Tudo and Muay Thai, and the Shaolin monk Lei-Fei flows between stances. The arenas are flat and square to make the game less random, but walls were kept, and they can be used for juggles or ring outs. It ran on the Naomi 2 arcade board, and the PlayStation 2 port added a Kumite mode of endless opponents, with no online play. Flat arenas with walls still keep the fights about position more than luck.
