Is it still worth playing?

Desmond Miles relives the memories of his ancestor Altair through a machine called the Animus, in this 2007 action adventure from Ubisoft Montreal. Most of it is set during the Third Crusade in 1191. Altair is an Assassin stripped of his rank who has to find and assassinate nine targets across the Holy Land to redeem himself. The game centers on counter based combat, stealth that uses crowds to hide, and parkour across an open world of Masyaf, Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus, recreated for the period. Between memories you leave the Animus to play as Desmond in a small laboratory, where the corporation Abstergo holds him. Each city has a mark to assassinate, investigations are mostly pickpocketing, eavesdropping and intimidation, and you can find viewpoints and rescue citizens. A synchronization meter replaces the health bar. Crowds to hide in still make every city a place to plan a kill.
