Is it still worth playing?

X and Zero set out to stop an army of Mavericks made from stolen Reploid souls, with the help of a young ally named Iris, in this 2001 platformer for the Game Boy Color. It is set between Mega Man X3 and Mega Man X4. You can start as X or Zero, but you have to beat both missions to finish the story. Each has their own stages and bosses, and a boss gives a special weapon. X can dash, wall jump and charge his shots. Zero has no blaster, and his Z Saber is strong but short in range and slow to swing. Switching between them in the middle of a stage is limited to a handful of levels. Heart tanks and sub tanks are hidden in the stages, and a shop sells upgrades for both characters in exchange for souls dropped by fallen enemies. Two characters with their own stages and bosses still give a second run a reason to start again.
