Is it still worth playing?

In this 2000 stealth game for the Game Boy Color, Snake infiltrates an enemy stronghold in an alternate story set three years after Metal Gear 2. It was released as Metal Gear Solid outside Japan. The view is from above, the screen scrolls and everyone moves in eight directions. Snake can flatten himself against walls to slide along them and knock to draw guards, and the Fogger shows laser trip wires. Some stages have hazards such as electrified puddles and conveyor belts. The Soliton Radar is shrunk down. Select opens the codec, where Mei Ling saves the game and offers support. VR Missions return, and after a first playthrough each stage has three challenges, such as speedruns or finishing without damage. Leaning on walls and knocking to lure guards still makes each room a small stealth puzzle.
