Is it still worth playing?
Tommy, a man of Cherokee heritage, his girlfriend and his grandfather are abducted aboard an alien spaceship called the Sphere, in this 2006 first person shooter from Human Head Studios. Tommy's heritage lets his spirit roam freely at times and lets him resurrect, which gives him an edge against the Sphere. You explore the gigantic craft and fight its inhabitants with alien weapons, some like typical shooter ones and others more alien in behavior. The heavily modified id Tech 4 engine introduces portals that transport you from one area to another, and variable gravity, which create the environments you explore. Gravity walkways let you walk on walls and ceilings, and in Deathwalk a shooting gallery replaces death, with hits restoring health or spirit power. Portals and shifting gravity still make the ship a puzzle to cross.
