In this 2008 real time strategy game from EA Los Angeles, the Soviet leadership, facing defeat, goes back in time to kill Albert Einstein. An unintended consequence creates a third power, the Empire of the Rising Sun, and all three sides go to war. The game is set in an alternate reality after World War II, where the Western Allies fight the Soviet Union. You build bases, gather resources and train armies for any of the three factions. Each has a fully cooperative campaign that you can play with an artificial intelligence partner or another player online. Structures form a shallow but wide tech tree with many units and superweapons. Naval combat returns, with most structures buildable on water, and full motion video stars Tim Curry, Peter Stormare and George Takei. Three sides with co-op campaigns still give the war three ways to be fought.
