About this game
Rocksteady's 2009 game, which keeps you on Arkham Island for the whole of it and gave the FreeFlow system its first outing. Three buttons do the fighting, strike, stun and counter, and the longer a chain runs the faster and heavier Batman gets, so a room of men is about keeping the chain going rather than picking targets off. The locked rooms are the other mode, where you work from gargoyles, grates and walls you can blow open, taking men one at a time. Gadgets arrive on a schedule and open parts of the island you had to walk past earlier. One caveat: Detective Mode makes everything legible and everything blue, and you will spend a lot of the game looking through it. Because it is all one island, every gadget you are given sends you back somewhere you have already been.
